M&L Studio creates and sells personalised engraved gifts, custom-made products and related gift items.

Products

We aim to describe and display all products as accurately as possible.

However, colours, engraving shades, grain, texture and finish may vary slightly from photographs shown on our website because of screen settings, lighting, manufacturing variations and the natural characteristics of materials.

Materials such as wood and slate naturally vary in colour, grain, markings and texture. These variations are part of the character of the product and are not normally considered faults.

Personalised Orders

Customers are responsible for checking all personalisation details before placing an order.

This includes names, dates, messages, initials, spelling, capital letters, punctuation, font choices, design choices and any other information supplied for engraving.

We normally produce personalised items using the information submitted with the order unless another arrangement has been agreed with us.

If your instructions are unclear or incomplete, we may contact you before production. This may delay your order.

Photos and Artwork

Where a product allows you to upload a photograph, artwork or other image, you are responsible for providing a suitable file.

For the best result, we recommend using a clear, high-quality original image rather than a screenshot or heavily compressed image.

Laser engraving is different from printing, and some colours, tones and fine details may not reproduce exactly as they appear on a screen.

We may make reasonable adjustments to an image, such as cropping, removing a background, adjusting contrast or converting it for engraving, where necessary to produce the item.

Customer-Provided Designs and Intellectual Property

If you provide us with a logo, photograph, image, text, name, phrase, artwork or other design, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it.

You are responsible for ensuring that your requested design does not infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights.

We may refuse to reproduce protected logos, branded artwork, characters, football club badges or other intellectual property where appropriate permission has not been provided.

AI-Generated Artwork

Where original customer artwork is requested or required, AI-generated imagery must not be supplied in place of original artwork unless we have specifically agreed to accept it.

We may refuse artwork that appears to infringe intellectual property rights, misrepresent authorship or otherwise creates legal or production concerns.

Design Proofs

Where we provide a digital proof or preview before production, it is the customer's responsibility to check all wording, spelling, layout and other details carefully.

Once a proof has been approved and production has started, changes may not be possible.

A digital proof is an approximate representation. The final engraved result may vary slightly because of the material, engraving process, product size and screen display.

Cancellations and Changes

If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Because personalised products may enter production shortly after an order is placed, we cannot guarantee that changes or cancellations will be possible once production has started.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Refusing Custom Requests

We reserve the right to refuse personalisation or artwork requests containing content that is unlawful, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, abusive, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate.

We may also refuse requests that we reasonably believe infringe intellectual property or other legal rights.

Prices and Payment

All prices are shown in GBP unless otherwise stated.

Payment must be completed before we begin production or dispatch your order.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

Order Acceptance

After placing an order, you will normally receive an order confirmation email confirming that we have received your order.

We may contact you if there is an issue relating to stock, payment, personalisation, artwork or delivery information.

In exceptional circumstances, we may need to cancel an order. If payment has already been taken and we are unable to fulfil the order, an appropriate refund will be issued.

Delivery

Delivery dates and times are estimates unless expressly confirmed otherwise.

We cannot guarantee delivery by a particular date where delays result from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including postal or courier delays, severe weather, bank holidays or other disruption.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address.

Returns and Refunds

Returns, replacements and refunds are handled in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Personalised and custom-made items generally cannot be returned simply because you change your mind.

This does not affect your rights where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.

M&L Studio Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the designs, branding, product photography, website text, graphics and other original content created by M&L Studio belong to M&L Studio or are used with permission.

You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, resell or commercially use our original content without permission.

Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for losses resulting from incorrect information supplied by the customer, including incorrect spelling, personalisation details, unsuitable uploaded files or incorrect delivery addresses.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our business, services or legal requirements.
